We Caught the Gingerbread Man!!

On Monday for F.H.E. we made gingerbread houses with our friends the Cowans (Jeremy and Krista). We bought the kits with pre-cut pieces of gingerbread, it came with frosting and candy too. It was a lot of fun... and really yummy! We were all sick afterwards from all the candy we ate... yay for Family Home Evening activities!

"Blonde's Have More Fun"?

To find out if blonde's really do have more fun, Melissa decided to test the theory for herself... She has dyed her hair a lot over the years, but hadn't ever tried going blonde, so she got it in her head that she wanted to try it out to see if it worked. Try everything at least once right?? The blonde hair didn't last long though (about 5 days) because Sean didn't like it too much and Melissa felt a little too fake... so she's back to brown and still having as much fun as ever!! Oh Christmas Tree...

So this is what you get when you don't pay for a Christmas tree...life gives you lemon so you make lemonade!! It's kinda 'Charlie Brown-ish' but brings Christmas joy...anyhow. We got our tree from the "Giant Used Car Tent Sale" at Qualcomm Stadium because Sean is in the military--gotta love those perks! It was quite the drama getting it packed into the trunk of the Focus, but we all made it home no worse for wear. Another tree saved from the paper mill...at least until January! Merry Christmas everyone!!

New Wheels for the Mrs...

After Melissa's run in with a car bigger than her own in August, we were left with one pair of wheels in San Diego. With Sean's 40 mi daily commute to work and the plethora of weird people in Escondido, we decided it best to get another car so Melissa could work, go to school...and probably play while Sean does all the hard work! j/k Anyhow...though Sean thought we would never own a Ford, we got one (cuz that's what Melissa wanted...sound spoiled?) It's not too bad a little car, with plenty of bells and whistles...like a sunroof! And we were able to rob the car dealers too. Kick them tires and light them fires!!

A Day at the Beach

Our first Thanksgiving together...and we didn't have to do the dishes! Some family friends were staying at their condo in Carlsbad and invited us for the feast--well, sort of. It was good fun and we were able to enjoy a stroll on the beach...not to mention we found a free night stand! Yeah for turkey!

Our First Apartment

Here our some pictures from our first home in Escondido, California. We moved all of our things in today. Sean has lived here since October 21st by himself. It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with washer and dryer hookups, (which we won't use because we don't have a washer or dryer!) Air conditioning and a heater, a balcony with an outside storage closet on it. The inside was completely gutted and re-done before we moved in so it is all brand new for us! We love our new place!!
