Shoshone Falls

Today we took a drive up to Twin Falls to see the Shoshone Falls that are there. The falls were pretty dry this year but it was still really awesome! It was warm (almost too warm) outside and the views were beautiful. Next time we go, we will kayak like the people in the pictures. It looked like so much fun! It was a perfect day, and a much needed day of adventure and fun for our family!

Clayton shoveling pudding in his mouth! He's funny!
proof that Sean and I were there too... in the form of a bad squinty-eyes picture.

Healing

Clayton's stitches were only in for about 6 days. We woke up early this morning to take him to the hospital to get them out. They did a conscious sedation to remove the stitches in the O.R. so Sean and I had to wait outside the room for him! It was really fast though and only took about 15 minutes. The plastic surgeon did a good job of closing his cut, his lip is lined up perfectly. It's still a little swollen but it looks better everyday! I am so glad he is on the mend!

Waiting for him to go in the Operating Room
No more stitches!
I love his one raised eyebrow in this picture!
Here it is a few days later, after we removed the steri strips

Scout Mountain

We went for a drive today, up Scout Mountain. At the top there was a small nature trail and an overlook that we checked out. The weather was perfect. The fall colors were beautiful! It was a fun trip.

Stitches

It's been a rough couple of months for the Boggs family!
Thursday night Clayton was riding a tricycle at Tifani's house and he fell and split his lip open.
I was devastated.
I felt like a horrible Mom.
Clayton was so brave the whole time though. He is such a tough dude!
We spent the evening in the E.R. with a plastic surgeon, while Clayton got in stitched up.
He was such a rockstar throughout the procedure. They sedated him so he wouldn't fight. That part made me cry (ok, so I was crying the whole time, but I didn't like that part.)
Clayton was a trooper.
He is doing great now. It hasn't affected his eating or sleeping or anything. He gets his stitches out next wednesday and hopefully the scarring will be minimal.
Now that all 3 of us have had surgery this year, I am really hoping that we can be done with hospitals for a while.

This little man is so funny with his accessories.

Heaven

Our baby went back to live with Heavenly Father... This is the way I explained my miscarriage to my almost 2 year old... it's the only way I know how to explain it, I guess.
Thursday the 16th was the first sign of blood. (just starting the 4th month of the pregnancy)
I knew right then and there what was happening, my heart sunk.
Friday night I experienced one of the most difficult things I have ever gone through.
That amazing husband of mine was right by my side all night long, giving words of encouragement, and lending me strength the whole time. I love him so much.
I know that someday I will get to meet that little baby of ours in Heaven. It makes me feel blessed to know that little soul was so perfect, it only need a body for a very short time and I got to be the mother that provided that body.
