Merry Christmas

We had our own little Christmas at our house this year, with just the 3 of us.
Since we were recently home in Idaho for a visit with the families in October, we decided that we wouldn't spend the money to fly back over there.
It was a great Christmas. We all got spoiled with presents!
Thanks to our families that sent some Christmas cheer our way, we love and miss you all! :)

Goodbye Hair

We finally committed to giving the little man his first hair cut (Mom was nervous about taking this step!)
He was a champ! He didn't cry one bit.

After:
I think the clippers were tickling him a little bit :) I love the face he is making!

Justice Tree Farm

Picking out the perfect tree with Dad:
 This is the one.
And for your viewing pleasure, another family shot taken by us... I know what you are saying...
"get some friends already, these awkward family self-portraits are getting old!"
 and I agree.

Clayton hanging his ornaments on the tree
We decorated our tree all the way down this year thinking it couldn't be that interesting for our 1 year old. We thought, no big deal, we will just distract him away from it a few times and he will be bored with it after the first day...
This is what our tree looks like now:

We are Thankful

We had Thanksgiving at our house with just the 3 of us.
This was Clayton's first experience with the Thanksgiving feast... he was in love!
He liked everything we had on the menu, he ate A LOT...  and so did we.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Too much turkey makes your eyes tired! :)

Messy

Doesn't everyone spray their kid off in the sink after dinner? :)

Marine Corps Ball

Sean and I went to the ball tonight.
This is the only picture we got.
I am very much aware that this is the worst picture in history, so there will be no need to point out the obvious fact that we got a big giant fail in the picture taking department this evening.
Go ahead, laugh it up. We deserve it.

Growl, Bengals, Growl

This will soon be our fight song...

Sean got accepted to Idaho State University -- School of Technology.
We are moving to Pocatello in May when his contract with the Navy ends.
Goodbye military. You, and your husband hogging antics, won't be missed.

This is a scary and exciting new chapter in our lives that we are certain is the right direction for our family to go in.
Starting in May we will be able to make our own decisions on where we want to live and when our family will spend time apart... something that the military has done for us since before we were even married.
We are excited for this opportunity.

Brad and Tifani and all those kids that come with them, just so happen to live there, which will be a nice little bonus... we've been too far from our families for too long. It will be good to have those Wallaces around :)

Now, a little bit of bragging about my awesome husband... story of your life, I know! If you are tired of hearing how amazingly great he is (I can't help it, I am just so proud of him) you may want to stop reading now...
Sean applied for the geomatics technology program. The program had 4 spots available (that is a small number right?!) and  because he is so smart (like sickening, smart!) he got one of those spots! I know, amazing! I told you so.
I was so happy for him when we found out that he was accepted into the program... however, I was not the least bit surprised :)

Bring on the changes world... we are more than ready for a new adventure.
