January Fishing

Grandpa Boggs hooked the boys up with some fishing poles when I was pregnant with Clayton... they finally got around to using them!
Here are some pictures of the first of many fishing trips, I am sure that these two will take together.
p.s. you will soon notice that there are no fish in these pictures... but thats not the whole point of fishing right? :)

Clayton was so excited about his fishing pole... he would not let go of it for anything! Checkout the death-grip he has on it...
We had to take it out of his hands to buckle him into the car seat... he had a meltdown.
Half the time Clayton was fishing the wrong direction... but he didn't care, he was having fun :)
And, what's a Boggs family outing without a horrible attempt at a family picture taken of ourselves??
This one cracks me up! FAIL.

We are still here!

Don't worry everyone... The Boggs family is still alive and well!! We've been busy living the good life. Here is a recap to bring y'all up to date:

New Years came and went before we knew it. Wow, time sure does fly when our family is living under the same roof! It's hard to believe that it's already been 4 months since Sean came home.
We've been spending our spare time exploring more of the beauties that Carolina has to offer... we are trying to get it all in before we check out of here in April.
Here are pictures of some of our recent adventures:

we went to the beach on a whim one windy day in January, it was kinda cold but we still had fun playing in the sand.

These pictures are in Morehead City on another random January day.

And, another spontaneous trip, this one was to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. It was another nice day to hangout at the beach (it has been a really mild winter here!) Clayton thought this pier was a good place to practice his walking. We just can't get enough of him! He's taken over our cameras :)

Merry Christmas

We had our own little Christmas at our house this year, with just the 3 of us.
Since we were recently home in Idaho for a visit with the families in October, we decided that we wouldn't spend the money to fly back over there.
It was a great Christmas. We all got spoiled with presents!
Thanks to our families that sent some Christmas cheer our way, we love and miss you all! :)

Goodbye Hair

We finally committed to giving the little man his first hair cut (Mom was nervous about taking this step!)
He was a champ! He didn't cry one bit.

After:
I think the clippers were tickling him a little bit :) I love the face he is making!

Justice Tree Farm

Picking out the perfect tree with Dad:
 This is the one.
And for your viewing pleasure, another family shot taken by us... I know what you are saying...
"get some friends already, these awkward family self-portraits are getting old!"
 and I agree.

Clayton hanging his ornaments on the tree
We decorated our tree all the way down this year thinking it couldn't be that interesting for our 1 year old. We thought, no big deal, we will just distract him away from it a few times and he will be bored with it after the first day...
This is what our tree looks like now:

We are Thankful

We had Thanksgiving at our house with just the 3 of us.
This was Clayton's first experience with the Thanksgiving feast... he was in love!
He liked everything we had on the menu, he ate A LOT...  and so did we.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Too much turkey makes your eyes tired! :)

Messy

Doesn't everyone spray their kid off in the sink after dinner? :)
