Eastern Express

Sean named our road trip... just go with it.
6 days/5 nights, check!
8 states, check!
2,687 miles, check!

We did it! We drove across the entire country! Holy cow. That was a trip... Here are some sites we saw along the way:

Arizona
These dunes were really cool. I actually don't remember if they were in Arizona or California. They went on for a long time, we thought maybe we took a wrong turn and ended up in the Sahara... come to find out we were going the right way and it wasn't Africa after all.

sweet panoramic of a view point at a rest stop

New Mexico
New Mexico was uneventful. Actually to be honest, some of these pictures might not be under the state where they were really taken... it was a long trip it all just blurred together at times. One weird fact about New Mexico: The traffic lights there were sideways instead of hanging up and down so green was on the left, yellow in the middle and red was on the right. Odd?

Texas
There were two tornados close by us in Texas We saw them on the news when we stopped for the night and found out they were really close. We didn't see them on the road though, Sean was sad we didn't get to see them in real life... I was ok with watching them on the news.

This is the view I saw most of the time....

Texas was the first state we noticed people taking funny. The southern accent continued in every state for the rest of the trip....

Oklahoma
We stopped at this picnic area along the freeway for lunch, we made sandwiches and also had chips and juice. There were a bunch of tables all spread out in the grass like this one. They didn't have bathrooms there so keep that in mind if you're ever in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma and want to stop to eat and maybe pee too... this may not be the place for you.

Arkansas

In Arkansas the scenery was really starting to get green. It was beautiful!

Tennessee
This was my favorite part of the trip. This bridge crossed over the Mississippi River (which, by the way, really is very huge!) and I thought the welcome sign was nicely placed on the awesome bridge while entering Nashville.

I think Tennessee was my favorite state to drive through. It was so pretty there! Everyone had a really thick accent too, which just makes it that much better.

North Carolina
What the?! This was an AWESOME view!!

We were happy to see that the trees and green didn't end when we got to North Carolina.

This is what we looked like as we drove.
