Two hikes. One day.
Lots of fun in the sun.
FINALLY,

Onesie Turban?

Clayton wants to go to work with his Daddy...
Maybe if he dresses like the locals, no one will know he is even there.
I personally think he can rock a onesie turban with the best of 'em...

Long Distance Valentine

I thought that I was going to bah-humbug my way through Valentines Day this year, since my Valentine is on the other side of the world, but when I woke up and read the sweetest email ever with this picture attached at the bottom:
I couldn't help but smile all day long.
He loves me... I hope he never comes to his senses and realize that he could do much better :)

Clayton ditched the sink bath routine and traded up for the the full-on bathtub experience.
He loves his big boy bath time!

Afghanistan

Sean left.
I cried. A lot.
I am so proud of him and the courage he has to leave his family and defend this great country, where we live and enjoy so many wonderful privileges.
I couldn't do it. He amazes me.
Someday our son will understand the sacrifice his daddy made to keep him safe, and he will be proud too.
I'll miss him every second of every day. It's not going to be easy without him here with us.
I'll try not to complain.
I have so many blessings that others do not have... I count them many times to remind myself that I am truly fortunate.
Heavenly Father watches over our little family, and I am so grateful.

Wild, Wild, West

We made the cross-country trip again. Clayton and I moved to Idaho to be closer to the family while Sean is deployed. Sean drove with us here and will fly back to North Carolina and leave from there with the rest of his unit. The trip went really well Clayton was a trooper! He did so good he slept pretty much the whole time. The weather was good too. We only hit snow one time on a pass in Colorado and it wasn't too bad. It was so much better to drive together in the same car, it made the trip go way faster!
We got a little one bedroom apartment in Nampa for me and Clayton and got the essential furniture from friends and family (we put all of our stuff in storage in NC and only brought what we could fit in the back of the truck.)
States we went through were: North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri,  Kansas, Colorado, and Utah. (We also hit up Oregon to visit Sean's family before he left)

Here are some pictures from the trip:
(in no particular order... sorry.)
