I heart Football

And... so does my little man!
I love that it's already football season. That means my favorite time of the year finally here!!
Football watching- jacket wearing- leaves falling- cocoa drinking- fire building- time of year.
aahhh fall... I love, love, love you. Thanks for coming, please stay forever.

Idaho Falls Zoo

We went to the zoo with the Wallaces today.
Clayton had a blast. He stood and looked at the pig all by himself! I was so proud! Our little boy is growing up so fast!! He also got to feed the goats and he thought that was awesome!
This little boy absolutely loves to be outside more than anything else in the world.

Wake me up when September comes!

Finally we are reaching the end of this wretched deployment!
I will be SO happy to have our family back together again!
Sean will be back in the states around the middle of September and if everything works out, Clayton and I will be on the first available flight to good ol' NC :)
Oh my, holy cow! I have never been more excited for anything in my life!!
Kiss your husbands, ladies... two times for good measure :)

Oh, and by the way... this little dude is officially nine (nine?!!) months old today! Wow.
and, I think he is getting more handsome by the minute!
Not sure how we pulled off the cutest little boy in the world... but somehow we did :)

Fighting for Hope

The hope of a brighter future for children who's lives are consumed by war.
And the hope of freedom to choose their own path to explore in life.
A hope that they will have the same opportunity at happiness that every child deserves.

These kids were not even phased by the troops roaming the streets with all their gear on and carrying their guns. It's crazy to me... this is something that they see everyday. I can't imagine all of the scary experiences they must have had in their short lifetime. I pray that my son will never have to see the things that these children think of as normal. I thank my Father in Heaven everyday for all of the blessings that we enjoy in this country.
Sean emailed me these pictures of himself in Kabul, Afghanistan with some local kids. The circle of flags are all the countries in the War on Terror right now. The tents are where he stayed while in Kabul.

Clayton got two teeth in two days. His first one came in on July 10th.
Here he is showing off his new chompers!
(Look closely... they are small.)

Pool Party

This was Clayton's fist time in the pool. He LOVED it (until he got hungry!)
The wallace's brought over some the the leftovers from last night's BBQ and we had a picnic on the pool deck!

Fourth of July

Happy Independence Day!!
We spent the day with the family this year, a BBQ at Tifani and Brad's house, followed by fireworks!
I am so grateful for this country that we live in, and for all the wonderful privileges that come with it! And to my hero: (who missed another fourth of July with us this year) Thank you for protecting our freedom! I love and miss you very much!! We are all so proud of you, and we can't wait until you get to come back home!

Clayton was worn out by the end of the night, as you can tell by the tired eyes he is sporting... a little too much celebrating for the little man, so we had to leave the party a little bit early! It was fun to spend some time with everyone and it was nice to have my dad home too!

Our little guy is so good at sitting up, I am very proud of him!
