The Boggs/West Adventures continue

On Saturday we went to Lake Miramar to eat lunch, then drove to Julian to get some world famous pie and check out all the little shops in the town. Kent's mom was here visiting them for a few days, so it was good to get to meet her. Julian was great! we had a lot of fun checking out all the cool stuff they had in the shops. The pie was delicious!! It was FREEZING there though!

Sunday after church we made Costa Vida sweet pork salad and brownies with icecream at our house and dyed easter eggs. Then went to Mission Beach to hide the eggs for Benson and watch the sunset. We played with the frisbee, the rugby ball and flew a kite. It was cold but we still played in the water...

The sunsets are always awesome!
Anna... sometimes it's better not to try to understand her
Benson was MAD! He doesn't like leaving the beach.
Adventures with the West family never disappoint. There is never a shortage of laughs or fun!!
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

Recovering Chairs.

I recovered our dining room chairs. I wanted them to have brown on them to match the table better. I'm so excited about them! The new make-over is awesome!

The Gables Point Loma

We moved today... well started moving. Our new place is still in the Point Loma area. It's way nice! Still a one bedroom, it has indoor hallways and elevators. Outside there is a pool, hot tub, and picnic area with bbq's and a firepit. It also has a game room with a kitchenette, a pool table, a ping pong table, and a huge t.v. for movies. We are really excited about it!!

REI Used Gear Sale!!

This morning we woke up at 6:30 to go to the REI used gear sale (that didn't start until 8:00!) We got there an hour early and there were tons of people there waiting before us... some people camped out over night in the parking lot! When it opened everyone went crazy, including Sean who took off sprinting toward the tents as soon as we got through the gate! I was a little confused at first. I didn't know where to start because everyone was everywhere running, shoving, climbing over all the other intense people there... it wasn't long before I was in the middle of it all too, I just plowed my way through the crowds and was scrambling to get the best stuff before anyone else! We managed to make it out without any broken bones or fights, and even got some sweet deals on some things too! Here are our treasures: a four man tent, 3 pairs of shoes ( Keen hiking boots, North Face snow boots, and Keen sandals) a thermos mug, a North Face fleece/water wicking jacket, a water proof wind breaker jacket, and snow gloves! All for CHEAP!! We saved $490!

Waiting in line... it was cold this morning.

Anza-Borrego Desert

We went to the desert with Kent, Anna and Benson. The wild flowers were blooming. The drive was about 2 hours, we drove there had lunch, and went to see the wild flowers. We stayed for the sunset. It was awesome out there! Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery! We had a lot of fun, like we always do with the Wests!!

The boys were crammed in the back seat on the way home... The girls were feelin' good up front

Kent chillin on the edge of the world

Peace, Love, and Crabs!

Our group of friends (10 of us) went to Joe's Crab Shack for our birthdays. It was also our friend David Cox's birthday the same day as Sean's. We love Joe's! It is always so good! Sean and I shared a steam pot... we were the only ones who ordered crab in the whole group, crazy huh?! It was DELICIOUS! Our friends told them that there were three birthdays they came and put the crab bibs on us backwards, and made us "fly" around the restaurant while they sang happy birthday. By the time they came to sing David had already left. Somehow they thought our friend Chris Harrison was David, So he got roped into the embarrassment too and it wasn't even his birthday. For the record: Joe's Crab Shack does NOT give out free dessert! We were all bummed that went through all of that and didn't even get some cake! It was good for a laugh though. And of course, a lot of fun like it always is with our great friends.

It was David's birthday too (the one not making the crazy face...)
