Winter

Yep, it's officially here!
Two mornings in a row we woke up to snow on the ground.
Sean and Clayton are in for a real winter this year! Welcome to 'snow country', boys!
Who am I kidding?! I have been away from real winters for so long, I'm probably going to be freezing my booty off this year! I'll have to get myself back into the the "snow groove" :) These tiny dustings that melt the same day are slowing easing us in, giving us a small glimpse of what our life will be like for the next five-ish months.
Here are some pictures of our little man playing in the snow for the first time:

Sean was pulling Clayton in the wagon at Tifani's house. Clayton insisted that I get in with him and ride! He was patting the wagon where he wanted me to sit while saying "mama ride!" :)
I am not going to lie, my hips barely fit in that thing, I got a little stuck in there.
I thought this picture was cute of Clayton in Dad's hat. He loves anything that is Daddy's!

Toy Story

Its hard to believe that Halloween is just a week away. This year has gone by so fast!
Clayton is going to be Woody from Toy Story this year. Grandma Boggs made the shirt and vest for his costume and it turned out perfect! He makes such a cute little cowboy :)
See for yourself...

Weiser Weekend

This weekend we drove up to Weiser and spent a few days there.
On Friday morning we went to the Boise Temple open house with Brenda.

These are the only pictures from that adventure:
Saturday Sean went chukar hunting for the first time and got 3! He was excited! Mom, Clayton and I browsed the local thrift and antique stores. Later, we carved a pumpkin.

Clayton was really concerned about the "birdies" he wanted to give them food and water :)
Clayton helped a little bit with the pumpkin carving but he was more interested in the Cheetos Grandma bought for him and some random glasses he found and was wearing around.
Sunday we hung out with Ethan and Brenda for a little bit before leaving to drive back.
It was a short trip but we had a lot of fun!
Its nice to at least have half of the family closer so we can make these weekend trips once and a while to see them!

Idaho Life

Since we left North Carolina and the military behind about six months ago, I figured it's about time for an update on our life in Idaho.
Sean started school in August and he is likes it so far. He really enjoys his engineering classes... english and history, not so much :) But he is doing awesome in all his classes (is anyone surprised here?! Yeah, I didn't think so.)
He works for Direct TV at their call center in Pocatello, it's called Convergys, and he thinks that it could quite possibly be the worst job in the world. It works great with school though, because they are really flexible with hours around his classes, and it pays the bills, so it has been a good job for him. Oh, and we get free Direct TV so thats pretty cool.
It has been awesome being close to the Wallace's, I like having my sister around to hang with! I have missed her while we were moving around the country for the last 5 years. It's good to have her just 2 miles away now.
Clayton is growing and learning so much everyday. I wish he would slow down a little bit! I can't believe that he isn't my little baby anymore!! I am amazed daily by him and and the things he learns and accomplishes. He keeps us laughing and he keeps us on our toes! Next month he will be 2 (yes, YEARS!) and I haven't been able to wrap my head around that yet... I am still in denial.
Life is good.
Heavenly Father continues to bless our family. We are so grateful!

Shoshone Falls

Today we took a drive up to Twin Falls to see the Shoshone Falls that are there. The falls were pretty dry this year but it was still really awesome! It was warm (almost too warm) outside and the views were beautiful. Next time we go, we will kayak like the people in the pictures. It looked like so much fun! It was a perfect day, and a much needed day of adventure and fun for our family!

Clayton shoveling pudding in his mouth! He's funny!
proof that Sean and I were there too... in the form of a bad squinty-eyes picture.

Healing

Clayton's stitches were only in for about 6 days. We woke up early this morning to take him to the hospital to get them out. They did a conscious sedation to remove the stitches in the O.R. so Sean and I had to wait outside the room for him! It was really fast though and only took about 15 minutes. The plastic surgeon did a good job of closing his cut, his lip is lined up perfectly. It's still a little swollen but it looks better everyday! I am so glad he is on the mend!

Waiting for him to go in the Operating Room
No more stitches!
I love his one raised eyebrow in this picture!
Here it is a few days later, after we removed the steri strips
